These are the three applications that we will move forward with:
- Corey & Danielle : PlaySpace
- Derek, Nicole & Sam : Fresh Finder
- Erika, Kwame and YunLi : First Thursday
Next steps:
- Further refine the precis — a draft (for feedback from me and the class) is due August 9 at 9 am. These need detailed information about audience, rationale (problem being addressed) data sources, scope, versioning, sponsoring organization. The competitive analyses should be detailed (with screenshots) and identify weaknesses/opportunities. If there are applications that you might use as a model, include that information with screenshots and rationale. Identify tasks and scenarios built around those tasks. Build upon the work already done by Corey, Derek and Erika.
- Develop a screen flow (wireframe) — draft (for feedback from me and the class) due August 16 at 9 am. You’ll be sharing this with the class that night. This can be hand-sketched or you can simply diagram the information flow. The screen flow should relate directly to the tasks you’ve identified.
- Develop your promotion plan — draft due August 16 at 9 am. You need your app name, app icon (in iPhone-spec sizes), ideas for your website/Twitter account/FB page/etc, dummy screens for the iTunes store (Photoshop is your friend – or Seashore), how you plan to get buzz. See our resources page for PSD templates.
- On August 16 – each team pitches the class and takes questions. On Tuesday, Kathy will send written comments on draft materials presented Monday.
- Final material should be sent to Kathy on Sunday by 6 pm. Use the UGA deliverable as a model. You’ll also need to complete a webQ that assesses how your team operated.
